Doggie Recipe: Bacon & Cheese Crunchy Yums

Billy's Review:   "My favourite  I've even caught humans eating them !"

A variation of the Vegetarian Peanut Butter Crunch.
All Biscuit Billy biscuits are made from the finest human-grade, dog-friendly ingredients.

INGREDIENTS
2 cups wholemeal flour (I use organic)
1 cup rolled oats or oatmeal
2 tablespoons of fresh parsley (for fresh breath)
1/2 cup dry nonfat milk powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup peanut butter (crunchy or plain)
Cooked bacon pieces or strips
Grated light cheese (I use tasty)
Cold water

METHOD

  • Preheat oven to 150/300 degrees.
  • Combine the flour, oats, parsley, milk powder and salt
  • Mix in the eggs and peanut butter until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Add enough water to bring to a dough.  Roll out and cut into required shapes.
  • On each shape sprinkle some cooked bacon and grated cheese (press down to ensure that its secure)
  • Bake 40-60 minutes. When cooked, the biscuits should be golden brown, dry and crisp all the way through.

Makes 42-60 biscuits depending on cutter size.
